Turno, a pro-tech software platform that connects short-term rental hosts and property managers with professional cleaners in their area, is experiencing a surge in marketplace interest, signups, and service usage across the United Kingdom.
“Month over month, we’re seeing exciting platform adoption across the UK, and we expect this growth to continue in 2023 as we further expand our marketplace of independent vacation rental cleaners, integrate additional software functionality, and offer increasingly robust turnover solutions to hosts and property managers across the United Kingdom,” said Assaf Karmon, Co-founder and CEO of Turno.
While cities like Edinburgh, Belfast, and greater London have all experienced year-over-year spikes in marketplace searches, Karmon noted the company is witnessing particular demand growth in seaside destinations across the UK coastline. In recent months, the number of coastal properties on the Turno platform has grown 124 percent, local cleaner signups have risen 91 percent, and completed projects are up 86 percent.
Whether searching in Bristol, Cornwall, Plymouth, Brighton, or a myriad of other coastal favorites, short-term rental hosts appear to be gearing up for winter travelers looking to cozy up with the amenities of home living. In addition to US travelers who hope to act on favorable transatlantic airline prices, domestic vacationers may also be foregoing the rising costs of traveling west to the US or Caribbean and selecting winter holiday destinations closer to home.
“Increasing consumer demand brings an increasing need for reliable, experienced vacation rental cleaners,” said Karmon. “This critical component to hosting can be time-consuming and overwhelming on property managers. Our platform is uniquely positioned to streamline the process and help hosts find, schedule, manage, and pay for time-sensitive cleaning services,” adding that Turno’s marketplace payment solution supports UK and European currencies, further simplifying end-to-end cleaner management.
According to Wolf Worster, Director of Partnerships at Turno, the company currently partners with over 20 property management systems and channel managers as well as a growing list of innovative short-term rental products designed to improve various aspects of hosting such as property accessibility, monitoring, and guest experience.
Turno’s direct integrations with property management platforms like Eviivo and Bookster help close the management gap between bookings and turnovers by enabling hosts to assign primary and backup cleaners, establish property cleaning checklists and staging requirements, and auto-schedule cleans as soon as a property is booked.
“Our approach to industry partnerships focuses first on the needs and wants of our customers,” said Worster. “Every integration we add is designed to bring value to hosts and property managers by simplifying processes, reducing time-consuming tasks, and aligning actions that increase productivity and bottom-line revenue.”
In addition, as part of Turno’s international expansion plans, the company recently unveiled fully immersive translations of both its web platform and mobile app. Hosts and cleaners can easily choose from English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese using a simple toggle located in their profile settings.
Founded in 2016, Turno provides a centralized platform for listing, sourcing, and managing cleaning services for vacation rental properties worldwide.
