The first writer/blogger/podcaster an overall cool guy we would like to mention is Jasper from GetPaidForYourPad. Jasper is one of the best resources that we rely on as hosts, and we highly recommend that you check him out.
Jasper started listing his apartment in Amsterdam on Airbnb in 2012 and immediately saw the benefits of hosting vacation rentals compared to long-term renting (tripling his income, no less). With the extra income, he decided to travel the world non-stop and has been to over 80 countries (which makes his blogging and podcasting pretty fascinating). Realizing the potential of Airbnb and the lack of good resources on the topic, Jasper published the book “Get Paid For Your Pad” in 2014. Since then, he’s also created a blog, and podcast where he has published over 170 episodes in which he interviews Airbnb hosts from all around the world.
Through his book, blog, and podcast, Jasper aims to help new vacation rental hosts get started and current hosts to improve their results. Topics include how to optimize the listings to get more bookings, creating outstanding guest experiences that lead to stellar reviews, and how to manage the Airbnb business using all the different tools and resources that exist in the home-sharing niche.
